Koffee Brown were a neo-soul duo consisting of male singer Fonz and
female singer Vee. They were discovered by producer Kay Gee and
were signed to Arista Records. They are best known for their song "After
Party" released in late 2000.
After their discovery by Kay Gee, the duo would appear on two of
Kay Gee's groups, first appearing on Next's Rated Next in 1997 and
then Naughty by Nature's Nineteen Naughty Nine: Nature's Fury in
1999.
Their first and only album, Mars/Venus, was released on March 6,
2001 and featured the minor hit "The After Party", which
peaked at 44 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album itself peaked at
32 on the Billboard 200, however after the album ran its course,
Koffee Brown virtually disappeared from the music industry.
