Gareth Myatt, 15, died after being restrained
by 3 guards in a detention centre for minors on April 19 2004.

Gareth lost consciousness
after the intense physical contact inflicted on him,
he was declared dead an hour after arriving at the hospital.
It was only his 3rd day of incarceration that was supposed to last
12 months. |
His mother said that he was in good health,
she spoke to him on the phone one hour before the killing, and
he seemed to be alright.
